- About Me:
Born and raised in Waco, TX, I made the move to New Braunfels a decade ago, and it didn't take long for this charming town to capture my heart. New Braunfels is more than just where I live-it's my home. I love the rich traditions and vibrant community that make it the perfect place to create lasting memories with my family. Being a mom has always been a dream of mine, and I'm so blessed to live that dream every day with my two beautiful children, Austin (6) and Zoey (4). I co-parent with their incredible dad, Garrett, and together we love spending quality time as a family. Whether we're enjoying pizza at Bootleggers Pizza (because the playground is a lifesaver!), exploring the local parks, visiting McKenna Children's Museum, or cuddling on the couch for a movie night, every moment feels special. I work full-time as a recruiter for Caterpillar Inc., a job I'm truly passionate about. Outside of work, I embrace everything New Braunfels has to offer walks admiring the murals, listening to great music and moving my body, floating the rivers to stay cool during the hot months, exploring local coffee shops, and dancing whenever I can. I am a warrior when it comes to advocating for my kids and will be for each and every one of you too! I prioritize my well-being too. Balancing it all isn't always easy, but I'm proud of how I manage it because I know that taking care of myself allows me to show up as the best version of me for my family and for yours too! New Braunfels has given me the space to thrive, and I couldn't imagine a better place to call home.
Your Why :
The day my son was diagnosed with Autism was not a day I look back and mourn, but rather a day that opened my eyes to a new perspective. A new way of seeing the world through someone else's eyes. A new way of rooting for my kids, other kids, and being more patient, and it truly gave me a purpose. I will always root for you, be an ear to listen, cry with you, hug you, etc. My purpose and duty is to make sure our kids have a safe community to grow up in. A safe place for people like you and me to have for our families. I am truly proud to be a mom to my neurodivergent son and I cannot wait to bring each and every one of us together to share our stories, to advocate and to open the eyes of so many that just don't know or understand so our community becomes more inclusive.
A Fun Fact :
I mentioned that one of my hobbies was to dance. Although I am not professional, I enjoy dancing in the comfort of my living room with just myself, my kiddos and even friends. I usually make fun videos of us dancing and share to my Instagram stories. I have many people reach out to inform me that the dance videos bring a little cheer to their day or puts a smile on their face. I am a total goofball and I believe that showcasing this helps others to let down their guard and be a little silly. Life is too short and dancing truly makes me feel better mentally and physically. If I can bring a smile to just one person a day, then I call that a win!
